This is a tea canister which cherry barks peeks out like a band. By shortening the outer cylinder of a regular tea canister, the cherry bark of the inner cylinder appears to tighten the color of the wood of the outer part. While this is a novel design for kabazaiku, it is a unique kabazaiku that demonstrates the characteristics of the materials and techniques used. The outer cylinder makes use of the color and pattern of the tree as it is. The outer part is finished with beeswax, so you will enjoy the texture of the material itself. The inner tube is all covered with cherry bark, and when the outer lid is opened, the contrast with the outer part can be enjoyed. In addition, the inner lid is deeper than usual and the knob is removed so that the inner lid can be used as tea spoon when putting tea leaves into a tea pot.
