Material: More than 6cm/2.36" thick Hokkaido katsura wood, sun-dried for more than 6 years.

Wood production: Each piece is hollowed out by the hands of a craftsman who has 50 years of experience in the craft. It is hollowed out from a lumber taken from sawn lumber board.

Undercoating / Second coat: Repeat the process of applying urethane sanding and grinding twice. A third coat of urethane primer for lacquer coating is applied. Make the urethane paint dry for at least one month. These kinds of lumber will absorb water and become distorted if finished with only lacquer, so in order to prevent water absorption, the wood is hardened with urethane paint.

Lacquering: After the undercoat has dried, the wood is grind. Finally, Shunkei lacquer is applied by a lacquer craftsman. Finishing: The finished product is dried for at least one month. After inspection, products with dust are remade before shipping.
